INTERNAL REGULATIONS OF THE THALASSOTHERAPY CENTRE OF NAZARÉ

MISSION
Thalasso - Nazaré, Portugal - Thalassotherapy Centre of Nazaré aims to provide a welcoming and serene atmosphere where the client obtains a feeling of improvement of his physical and mental condition, through the services and treatments available, using sea water and marine elements, aiming at the health and well-being of the users, both in a preventive and healing perspective.

GENERAL DISPOSITIONS
The Thalassotherapy Centre of Nazaré is registered as a healthcare establishment by the Health Regulatory Authority (number E121224).

CLINICAL STAFF AND COLLABORATORS
The functions of Clinical Management are carried out by Dr. Pedro Cantista, physiatrist, being substituted in his absences and impediments by Dr. Francisco Teixeira, GP with a degree in General Medicine and competence in Medical Hydrology and Climatology.
The specialized treatments in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation are provided by Margarida Ribeiro, physiotherapist, with a master degree in physiotherapy in musculoskeletal conditions.

SEASONS AND OPENING TIMES
The Thalassotherapy Centre of Nazaré is open all year round with the exception of December 25th.
The Thalassotherapy Centre is open every day from 9.30am to 9.30pm, except on Sundays when it is open from 10am to 9.30pm.
The timetable may change according to the time of year (high season and low season) duly communicated to the public.

RESERVATIONS AND ADMISSION
So that Nazaré Thalassotherapy Centre can provide you with the best service, your treatment should be booked in advance. You can make your reservation by phone, e-mail or directly in the Thalassotherapy Centre reception.
On the day of your appointment you should register by filling in a personal form with the following information:
- Identification (name, date of birth, address, nationality, telephone contact and e-mail);
- Other relevant information, namely if you have any medical condition or need special attention.
All personal data will be treated with absolute confidentiality, in strict compliance with the law in force.
The admission of a patient with a pathology of risk is reserved for the consideration of the Clinical Director or one of the members of the clinical staff.

ARRIVAL
We recommend that you arrive at the Thalassotherapy Centre fifteen minutes before your scheduled time. A delay to the appointment time may imply a reduction of your treatment time.
If you are a male client and booked a facial treatment, we recommend that you shave previously.
If you are a female client and have recently become a mother or are breastfeeding, you should also give this information in advance.
Once inside the facilities it is mandatory to shower before doing the Thalasso Circuit.

ETIQUETA
In order for Nazaré Thalassotherapy Centre to provide an atmosphere of calm and serenity it is necessary to comply with some courtesy rules.
It is forbidden
- To smoke on the premises;
- Use of mobile phones and other electronic equipment, namely cameras, film cameras, computers and/or tablets;
- To consume alcoholic drinks, soft drinks or food purchased outside the facilities;
Contribute to preserving the environment of harmony by using a low tone of voice and serene behaviour.

MINIMUM AGE
We value family moments. Children under 12 years of age are not allowed in the pool.
The minimum age for the various treatments is 16.
Access to the remaining areas of the Thalassotherapy Centre for treatments for children under 16 and over 12 years of age is authorised with medical consent and provided they are accompanied by a legally responsible adult.

PREGNANCY AND BREASTFEEDING
At Thalasso it is not allowed to accept any type of booking (including balneotherapy services and Thalasso circuit) of healing or wellness services, in pregnant women, with the exception of foot and leg treatments and lymphatic drainage or expressly under medical recommendation.
If, if pregnant and not indicated at any time, the person is responsible for any side effects or contraindication that may arise.

IDENTIFICATION OF THE SERVICES PROVIDED
The treatments and services provided by the Centre are set out in the respective price list, which, among other means of dissemination, is displayed at reception and available for consultation on the website.
Prices and/or range of treatments are subject to change without prior notice and are subject to availability of facilities.

GENERAL RULES OF OPERATION
The client may use all the services that are available in the price list, as long as he or she has no medical contraindications and the respective payment is made in advance.
The client is covered by the duty of professional secrecy of the Thalassotherapy Centre team and should be treated with respect, kindness and professionalism.
The client must be aware of the rules of admission and etiquette on the premises and act in strict compliance with them.
During the period of stay at the Thalassotherapy Centre, the client has the right to a locker for personal use, and the respective key shall remain in his/her possession. The loss and/or misplacement of any personal belongings inside the facilities is the client's entire responsibility.
Treatment programme clients are entitled to a bathrobe, towel and slippers, as well as a shower shampoo.
Clients using the Thalasso Circuit are entitled to bathrobe and towel, but must bring their own bathing suit, cap and pool slippers (which should not be brought from the outside). If you do not have a shower cap and/or slippers that meet the minimum criteria of hygiene and safety of the establishment, the customer must purchase them at the counter.
Clients using the body treatment area are also entitled to disposable underwear.
When leaving, the customer must leave the material delivered in a proper container. Failure to return the material will imply a penalty of fifty Euros.
The Thalassotherapy Centre management reserves the right to refuse admission to clients when the maximum functional capacity of the facilities is reached.
The use of any machine/equipment requires prior consultation with the professional responsible for the area. The client must make correct and prudent use of all the equipment to which he/she has access.
Given the characteristics of the environment, which is intended to be relaxing and serene, it is expressly forbidden to use flotation devices, masks and diving goggles in the pool area. It is also forbidden to swim, run, jump and dive in the dynamic pool.
Adults are responsible for instilling in children the spirit of respect for the rules in force.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Because unforeseen events happen, cancellations are allowed up to 24 hours before the treatment, free of charge. After this period, cancellations up to 12 hours before the appointment will be charged 50% of the amount and the full amount in case of cancellation less than 12 hours. Likewise, no-show will imply charging the full amount.
For treatments included in packages, if the cancellation is made more than 12 hours before the appointment, it may be transferred to another date. If the cancellation is made with less than 12 hours or in case of no-show, there is no right to reschedule or refund.

FINAL DISPOSITIONS
Omissions and doubts of interpretation of the present rules shall be solved by the Management of the Thalassotherapy Centre.
